KCMC Cancer Centre

Being only the third comprehensive cancer treatment center in the entire nation of Tanzania, the Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Centre (KCMC) Cancer Centre is prepared for the future of cancer care. After construction of a diagnostic and infusion therapy building, Msaada designed and supervised construction of the In-Patient Ward for Male, Female and Pediatric cancer patients. Formerly proposed as a plastic surgery center, the future Ward was up to lintel level before Msaada was asked to repurpose the building into a Cancer In-Patient Ward.

The third leg of the Centre, the Radiation Therapy Centre was also designed by Msaada and is currently under construction. Comprised of 4 linear accelerators and a Brachytherapy Suite, the radiation centre will offer necessary services to the northern population of Tanzania. In addition to serving as the Design Architect, it is Msaada’s pleasure to serve as the Project Manager for the USIAD funding being received for this important project.
